Actually on the edge of the large Suffolk village of Cavendish. Locked. No keyholder notice, but there were phone numbers of the churchwardens. I rang the first, whose husband told me she'd gone out taking the key with her. No reply with the other two. Sigh. Round towered church, with a very curious east end - a flint apse, and then to the north of it a rendered gothick mausoleum. Looking through the window, there is a rather fabulous monument. I'll have to come back here, I've kept the churchwarden's number.
